B team prove two good

Hambledon B made it two wins from two at the Fareham Leisure Centre on Sunday.

The second string cruised to a comprehensive six-wicket triumph over Purbrook as they maintained their perfect start to the season.

After losing the toss and being asked to field, the Dons' opening attack of Mark Davison and Kyle Shinn both bowled very economically without success.

However, the introduction of spin led to four quick wickets for father and son Mark and Spencer Le-Clercq.

And with the aid of two excellent run-outs from Kyle and Lewis Le-Clercq, the opposition were restricted to 80 from their 12 overs.

In reply, a quickfire 26 not out from new wicketkeeper batsman Will Mann (pictured) - and a more sedate unbeaten 21 from experienced captain Mark Le-Clercq - saw the Dons home without loss and with more than four overs to spare.
