Thirds thrashed by Rowner

Hambledon III slumped to a 101-run defeat at the hands of Rowner II in Hampshire League regional division three south east on Saturday.

Fielding first on a damp wicket at Rowner, tight bowling by the Hambledon attack restricted the home side to 187 for six.

Jack Dyer was the pick of the bowlers, as he took three for 37 from his 10 overs - although he wasn't in his dad's good books after one of his deliveries was smashed for six into his car windscreen.

After the break, and despite the team being brim full of batting potential, the third team never got going and were bowled out for a paltry 86 in only 27.2 overs.
