Hambledon III went down to a 77-run defeat at the hands of GE Hamble in Hampshire League regional division three south east.
Hamble batted first and racked up a daunting 244 for five in their 42 overs.
After the break, six of the Dons batsmen got starts but none could go on and make a match-winning contribution.
Martyn Shinn (35) and George Harding (32) were the pick of the bunch but, unfortunately, the third team were bowled out in the final over.
