Third team thrashed by Calmore

Calmore Sports III defeated Hambledon III by 59 runs in the first of two games at East Meon.

Skipper Martyn Shinn won the toss and bowled first - and his attack rose to the challenge, rolling the visitors out for 137.

Steve Ripiner was again the chief destroyer with five for 31, while there were at least four dropped catches.

The hosts were confident in their chase but unfortunately a mixture of indifferent shots and good bowling saw them skittled for just 78.

Only Shinn (20 not out) and Tim Rogers (12) managed double figures.
