Harry and Louis inspire massive win

Hambledon under-13s are celebrating their biggest triumph of the season.

Harry Thistlethwayte and Louis Matovu put Havant to the sword as the young Dons won the indoor showdown by more than 90 runs.

Hambledon had earlier looked in trouble, though, when they lost both openers in quick succession.

This merely served to bring Thistlethwayte and Matovu to the crease - with both talents retiring twice before finishing on 47 and 42 not out respectively.

The former hit a whopping six sixes in his innings, while there were superb performances with the bat from Guy Mullins (23) and Thomas Sherry (25 not out) as the Dons posted 174 for three.

Facing such a formidable target, the Havant innings never really got going and closed on 83 for two.

Harry Hoolahan was the pick of the bowlers with one for 11 off his three overs. His wicket owing much to a another superb catch from Sherry behind the stumps.

However, the lack of bowling points collected put a dent in Hambledon's hopes of claiming the league title.
