Hambledon crush Portchester

Hambledon moved up to fourth spot in South East Hants Indoor League division one as they completed back-to-back wins.

After opening their account with victory over Portsmouth A last time out, the Dons saw off Portchester A by four wickets.

Skipper Rhidian Chapman won the toss and inserted the Cams Hill side - and it proved an inspired decision as they were skittled for just 71.

An early wicket for Chapman was built on by teenager talent George Harding.

The off-spinner, who came into the side for Paul Vickers, took two for 16, including a sharp caught and bowled.

With 72 required for victory, James Scutt (25 not out) set about the target in fine style, with the Dons losing just two wickets on their way to success.

Afterwards, skipper Chapman said: 'Meatloaf summed it up well; two out of three ain't bad.'
