Hambledon III continued their unbeaten home form by beating Portsmouth & Southsea III by 35 runs on Saturday.
After being put in to bat, the Dons were soon struggling at 32 for three off 11 overs.
A superb partnership of 71 between Jon Bridgman, who notched his first half century for the club in 14 years, and Will Atkinson (29) looked to have steadied the ship.
But once Bridgman (50) holed out to deep square leg with the score on 103, Hambledon slumped to 130 for eight.
In the end an unbeaten partnership of 40 between skipper Martyn Shinn (23 not out) and Wayne Norman (23 not out) saw Hambledon post a competitive 170 for eight.
And after Portsmouth & Southsea had rattled along to 52 without loss in the 11th over, with pace taken off the ball, they lost their first wicket.
The visitors then struggled to regain their momentum thanks to excellent bowling from George Harding (one for 16), Spencer Le-Clercq (two for 15) and Atkinson (two for 18).
Portsmouth & Southsea eventually finished on 135 for nine, giving Hambledon another Hampshire League regional division four south east triumph.
