Hambledon under-16s need to win their last indoor match of the season to lift the South East Hants Indoor League title.
The young Dons secured their eighth straight victory at the Fareham Leisure Centre with a convincing 49-run defeat of Gosport on Sunday evening.
Electing to bat first, Hambledon were indebted to Ed Thistlethwayte, who led a recovery from 60 for four to a final total of 130 with his fine 37 supported by Tom Gwyther 20.
In reply, Gosport were all out in the final over for 81. Rory Prentice, George Harding and Spencer Le-Clercq all delivered superb displays with the ball.
But Thistlethwhayte was named man of the match as he built on his crucial innings to return figures of three for 15.
