Record recognition for stellar colts

Hambledon are celebrating after a record number of colts were selected for South East Hampshire district winter development squads.

Thirty-five promising youngsters - the highest number the club has ever achieved - have been picked for the regional squads.

It is a reflection of the hard work the players and coaches have put into their development over the past few seasons.

Hambledon would like to congratulate each and every one of them.

The following players were selected:

  • Under-9s: Casper Byers, Edward Mann, Hugh Jones, Max Harvey and Oliver Sowerby
  • Under-10s: Cameron Clarke, Edward Moger, Henry Wood, Matthew Houlberg, Oscar Gillespie and Ollie Tinson (shadow squad)
  • Under-11s: Archie Bennet, Jamie Gammell, Noah Pennant, Thomas Coyle and Thomas Sherry
  • Under-12s: Ciara Wood (girls), Freddie Martin, Harry Hoolahan, Henry Glanfield, Louis Matovu, Seb Byers and Tom Toogood
  • Under-13s: Alec Younger, Finlay Rockett and Will Hardman
  • Under-14s: Hew Richards, James Toogood, Rory Morris and Tom Cleminson (joining the Dons next season)
  • Under-15s: Charlie Green, George Harding, Jack Dyer and Tom Gwyther
