Hambledon under 15's lost their Hampshire Cup Quarter-Final in nailbiting fashion away to Portsmouth on Tuesday evening.
The young "Dons" could only muster 76 all out off the final ball of their allotted 20 overs. They then had Portsmouth in early trouble at 9-2 off 5 overs, only for the home team to then reach 40 without any further loss.. from 40-2 Portsmouth collapsed to 67-7 due to excellent bowling from Rory Prentice,Spencer Le-Clercq,Hew Richards and George Harding..Portsmouth then needed 4 to win off the last over and achieved it in a thrilling finish with one ball to spare!
