Droxford are Hambledon U11 Schools winners

On Friday 11th June Hambledon Cricket Club hosted their inaugural Under 11 schools cricket tournament. Five schools from the local area took part in the competition; each school playing every other school once. The schools represented were Bosmere, Clanfield, Droxford, Hart Plain and Purbrook.

Despite a heavy rain shower it was a very enjoyable afternoon with some very competitive cricket. The eventual winners were Droxford who went the whole afternoon unbeaten, although there were some close games against Clanfield and Bosmere. The winning team had some very familiar Hambledon faces in their team with Dan Allison, Guy Mullins and their skipper Tom Toogood.

All the schools want to do it again next year so a big thank you to all those that helped in particular Malcolm Wise and David Williams who umpired all afternoon!
