On Bank Holiday Monday we hosted our ninth Under 9 Festival at the Ridge. There were 13 teams competing in a round robin and then a knock out competition.
The final was a repeat of last year, with Hambledon up against Hartley Whitney. Hambledon batted first and made 120, losing 5 wickets. Hartley Whitney reply was hampered by some really tight fielding from Hambledon, but eventually they finished with the same total. The result was decided on wickets lost, with Hartley Whitney winning as they had only lost 3 wickets.
A disappointing result for the Hambledon boys, but it was a great day. Thanks to all those helped and supported the teams.
