Under 13s win Fareham Inddor League

Off the back of eight consecutive wins, the aim was simple for Hambledon's U13s ; win the last league match of the indoor season against Portsmouth and with it the league title. Hambledon batted first and like so often this season, looked to dominate. However, things did not initially go to plan and after 6 overs only 48 runs were on the board with four wickets down and several big hitters out cheaply.

However, a superb 83 run partnership between Joseph Brown (44) and Sarah Attrill (26), including 31 runs off the last over, put together a competitive total of 131. The Dons then came into their own and bowled and fielded well, dismissing Portsmouth for 66 to win the game by a big margin. All five bowlers bowled economically, with Rory Prentice, George Harding and Sarah Attrill taking a wicket apiece.

Congratulations to the whole squad: Eddie Lewis, Rory Prentice, Joseph Brown, Giles Dibden, Jack Dyer, George Harding, Cam Smith, Angus Woodman, Sarah Attrill and Charlie Boyd.
