Indoor Nets: COVID Update

Below are the updated details for winter nets this January to March 2022, coming out at relatively short notice because of the recent uncertainty over the Omicron Variant of COVID-19.

In the light of recent decisions by the government not to impose any more restrictions, and the news that Crookhorn College are happy to welcome us to their site, the nets can go ahead.

Please note the following, as well as the information in the previous announcement:

  • Boys, girls, men and women are welcome to the sessions detailed in the document
  • Just in case Covid rules change in the next couple of months, there is no scheme to pay for all the sessions in one lump sum as in previous years, we will just collect a flat fee per session in cash from each person - £4 for youths, £5 for adults
  • Coach leads are as follows:
    • Girls – Jenna Mcfadzean
    • Under 9 – Andrew Sharpe
    • Under 11 – Nick Scutt
    • Under 13 – Steve Toogood
    • Under 15 – Saleem Chaudhry
    • Adults – Mark Le-Clercq and Kevin Wingham
    • Ladies – Kate Rowland
    • If there are any Youth cricketers who would like to assist with these sessions for the DOE volunteering time, please let us know
  • If there are any parents who would like to assist as well, please let us know
  • The first session is on Sunday 16 January – please can you reply to this email and let us know if you will be attending, so we can plan the sessions

We look forward to seeing you all there at the various Sundays over the next few months, so we can all get ready for a great summer of cricket.

In related news:

  • We hope there will be some Coaching, umpiring and scoring courses announced soon – please let us know if you wish to attend any of them to further your cricketing knowledge
  • Blue Hambledon kit is available too, please ask if you wish us to bring some for you to the net sessions
