Pre-Season Update & New Customised Covers

The Ridge is now home to a set of three wonderful new covers this year, which are sporting the Hambledon colours and logo. The navy blue beauties arrived Wednesday morning to cries of delight from the Hambledon Chairman. Everyone is sure the new covers will be appreciated by the players and supporters. The club would like to thank the England and Wales Cricket Trust and Waitrose for the grant from their “2016 Small Grants Scheme” that allowed us to purchase these new covers. They will make a huge difference to the quality of the ground at Ridge Meadow, and the enjoyment of cricket for everyone from colts to adults and all in between.

A weather struck April has prevented a pre-season of any sort so far, but weather permitting Hambledon can partake in this weekend's fixtures. Newly appointed 1st XI skipper Will Bond leads a mix of 1st and 2nd team players to Chichester Priory Park, this Saturday the 23rd of April. Hambledon are like many clubs just looking for some pre-season cricket in the rather moist April.

Sunday the 24th Hambledon play home to Winchester University, weather permitting of course; the groundsman have been putting in the hard yards despite the cricketing gods lacking mercy.
