Woody 3 wicket maiden on debut

Two on the bounce for U16s

After a typical innings by the U16's at Fareham indoor, which included the usual 2 runs outs and lots of indecision, the young Dons finished on 103 all out. Aidan Grimes being the star with 35. However, the bowling attack which has promised so much delivered. After an opening spell from Aidan and Jack Paul, Waterlooville were already in trouble with only 18 for 1 off 4 overs. Then Henry Wood came on for the 5th over and practically ensured the win, with a 3 wicket maiden on his debut for the team. So at 18 for 5 off 6 overs, Waterlooville's remaining batsman stood his ground and threw his bat, making 53, before being caught off Aidan. An excellent bowling and fielding display, with the catch of season by Archie Philips at square leg.
