Extraordinary General Meeting.
An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Club will be held at 7.30 pm on Wed 8th April 2015 at the clubhouse.
The purpose of the meeting is to propose the appointment of additional Trustees to bring the total number up to the minimum number required by the Club’s constitution.
The resolution is as follows:
To appoint the Chairman Mark Le Clercq, the Secretary Jane Shinn and the Honorary Treasurer Tony Smith as Trustees.
The back ground to this is that, in order to secure the grant from Sport England for the new wickets, Sport England require a charge over the Club’s freehold property and in order to achieve this it is necessary for the Club’s title to be registered at the Land Registry. For legal reasons the land has to be registered in the name of the Club’s Trustees and it transpires that there was only one surviving Trustee, Charles Lutyens. It is the intention in the medium term to form a Company limited by guarantee to act as Trustee but in the mean time it is necessary to appoint new Trustees in whose name the land will be registered.
