Hambledon B celebrated Christmas early as they defeated XIIth Men by 41 runs on Sunday.
And the triumph has left them well-placed for a promotion push in the new year.
After winning the toss, Dons captain Mark Le-Clercq wasted no time in deciding to bat first.
Without the services of Spencer Le-Clercq, James Gibson, Mark Davison and Will Mann, the skipper called up returning university trio Jess Walkin, Alex Wilcockson and Will Bond.
And despite the former pair sporting black eyes and swollen noses, Hambledon got off to an excellent start with both Bond and Walkin retiring on 25.
Kyle Shinn then rushed to 18 before he was the victim of a run out - leaving Wilcockson to swipe and hack his way to an unbeaten 17.
The captain added some late impetus, smashing four sixes on his way to 30 not out before Bond returned to propel his own score to 39 not out.
Hambledon eventually closed on an impressive 158 for two from their 12 overs.
In reply, XIIth Men struggled to keep up with the run-rate in the face of some tight bowling from Shinn (one for 22) and Lewis Le-Clercq (none for 22).
They had reached 90 for one with just 12 balls remaining when the skipper brought himself on and reduced them to 117 for five at the close.
