Brilliant bowling seals victory for young Dons

Hambledon under-13s chalked up their fourth win in five games as they crushed Locks Heath by 65 runs.

A brilliant display with the ball was key to the young Dons claiming maximum points from the triumph after they had posted 138 for two.

Seb Byers, debutants Noah Pennant and Josh Wise, and star man Harry Hoolahan all picked up wickets, while Thomas Sherry was faultless behind the stumps.

Sherry took a superb catch off Wise before completing the stunning stumping of Locks Heath dangerman Joe Acaster off Byers.

Earlier, Hambledon had lost the toss and been put into bat by their rivals.

It mattered little, though, as Ollie Southon dominated the Locks Heath attack on his way to 27 not out.

Byers and Hoolahan then kept the innings moving - retiring on 22 and 20 respectively - before the young Dons closed on an insurmountable 138 for two.
