Dan Hewitt has been named Hambledon first-team captain.
The 24-year-old all-rounder, who was crowned leading wicket-taker in Southern Electric Premier League division two last summer with 28 scalps, has succeeded James Scutt at the helm.
Scutt led his troops to third place in the second tier after snatching promotion from division three in 2010.
The former skipper led by example last term - scoring 466 runs at the top of the order and taking 16 wickets with his off-spin - and will continue to represent Hambledon.
Elsewhere, Rhidian Chapman is stepping down from first-team duty to lead the club's second string as they bid to win promotion from division four south of the Hampshire League.
Chapman also took 16 wickets last summer, with a game-changing best of four for 34 against Rowledge at School Road.
Martyn Shinn will continue to captain the club's youthful third XI in regional division three south east.
