Hambledon's start to the 2011 League season could not have got off to a worse start when opener Rob Atkins was brilliantly caught at square leg for 0.
The Dons never recovered and struggled to 131 - all out, with the only contributions of note being Dan Hewitt (25), overseas debutant David Williams (pictured) 36 and veteran Indy Chakrabarti (23*).
However Ventnor were made to struggle in reply with Williams (3-45) making inroads, supported by Dan Hewitt (1-24) and an impressive spell from East Meon signing Rupert Hetherington (1-30). Despite losing 6 wickets, Ventnor reached their target in 34 overs.
