Fantasy League rules

Entry to the competition costs £5 (not currently payable online). You may enter as many teams as you like, subject to an entry fee for each.

There will be prizes at the end of the season for the top three teams. First prize is £60, second prize is £30, and third prize is £15.

There are bonus prizes of £10 available if your team for a given week matches the best possible team for that week (does not apply if some members of the optimum team are non-scoring fillers in weeks where maybe only one match was played).

Players are assigned a value between 1 and 6.

When creating a team, you select a squad of 15 players, up to a maximum budget of 40 points.

From this squad, a playing XI of 11 players must be chosen, within a budget of 30 points. You may change this playing XI at any point in the season, as many times as you wish. Match points will be awarded to the team as it stands at 12 noon on the day of the match.

There will be two transfer windows over the course of the season, each allowing you to change up to 5 players from your squad. The first will open for two weeks after two weeks of fixtures; the second will open at the mid-point of the season, again for two weeks.

Only senior league matches are counted towards the Fantasy League.

Player performances in abandoned or incomplete matches will count towards the Fantasy League.

Match points will be awarded as follows:

  • 1 point for each run scored up to 50
  • 1.25 points for each run between 51 and 100
  • 1.5 points for each run scored above 100
  • 20 points for each wicket taken
  • 5 points for an economy rate below 4 (4 over minimum)
  • 10 points for an economy rate below 3 (4 over minimum)
  • 15 points for an economy rate below 2 (4 over minimum)
  • 2 points for each maiden bowled
  • 10 points for a catch, stumping or run-out
  • 5 points for being on a winning team
  • Total points will be rounded up to the nearest whole number
