A great days cricket with good weather, outstanding hospitality and organisation; with some of the finest colts cricket played by so many.
Hambledon and Yateley were in close contention during the day with each team winning all of their games, neither team knowing how many points each team had accumulated during the day! This made it an exciting final finish to the tournament and final game.
A few champagne moments to remember: Rory Prentice “last wicket of the day” - great line and length with pace taking middle stump! Although there were many 6's and 4's all day, Tom Gwyther’s smash to leg side would have hit the houses if it hadn’t been for a 60’ great oak! Charlie Boyd’s great fielding, diving many times in the last game saved several fours! Overall a great contribution by all and a most enjoyable day.
